The current crisis shutting down SNAP / Foodshare benefits for low income households -- affects thousands of our Milwaukee neighbors who are living paycheck to paycheck.  This includes the working poor, single mothers, disabled, homeless, and the elderly – the exact populations served by JOMM’s partners.  We also hand out groceries directly in Milwaukee’s food deserts, through our street outreach program.   Our mission to feed the hungry using “rescued food”, is among the most cost effective ways to get quality food to the poor, who are experiencing stress and concern during these uncertain times.
